PBIS & PAWS EXPECTATIONS

Willow is proud to be a PBIS school!  PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports) is a framework that guides best practices for academic and behavior outcomes for students.  Expectations for student behavior are clear.  Willow has FOUR school-wide expectations called “PAWS”: Practice safety, Accept Responsibility, Work Hard and Show Respect.  Students follow the expectations that are outlined in our Willow WISE “PAWS” Matrix.  We also encourage students to be Willow “WISE” – “We’re Inspired to Succeed Every day!”  Students learn skills such as conflict resolution through class discussions/lessons, Peacebuilders curriculum/pledge, services provided by the Mental Health Professional, and assemblies and discipline review meetings with the principal.
